Pilot Partner: Robert D. Russo, M.D. and Associates Radiology
Mission: To address required authentication compliance mandates as part of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); reduce the current password management burdens for both network administration and users.
The practice eliminated the complex reusable passwords that were being changed every 45 days by deploying GridPro™ 1.0, which created one-time passwords at every login. Users enjoyed a greater degree of usability while simultaneously achieving HIPAA objectives. Network administration was originally considering implementation of smartcards, but GridPro™ 1.0 offered an extremely cost-effective alternative.
